I actually did this a while ago (forgot to post it) but I made some quilting samples with various types of interfacing to see how they looked with the silk satin.
The sketch above is some Ideas I had about how I might actually do the quilting based on the areas I designated. Opinions? Does one or two of them really stick out to you?

All the samples, I tried woven/weft, non-noven, no interfacing and flat-lining.

And I picked the woven/Weft. It had the right amount of softness so you still not nice definition to the quilting. The other ones either were not supporting the silk much, or flattened out the quilting.

This is the waist piece seamed together. It's really the only thing I have sewn so far. The whole corset is cut out now (Fashion, coutil, batting, flatlining) I think I am going to wait until school break though to stitch more. I want to give it my full attention.
Until then I am going to work on stuff that requires less brain power, like that pile of tank tops I have had cut out for forever, and you know, homework :)
