I have gotten quite a bit done on the Apparel Arts pants! The two pairs has also morphed into *three* pants now, but more about that under the

Jodhpurrs:
It took me a little while to get all the loop trim basted down, but oddly it took even longer to machine stitch the seams together and topstitch ?? I ended up eliminating the side seam, it just looked better and with all the curved seams it was unnecessary.

I am going to have to take it in a little at the CB because it seems to have stretched a little while sewing (or possibly the twill is just naturally more stretchy than the muslin) The front (which is pinned) is going to have a button fly, and the legs are going to have button plaquets using these nice Vaguely steampunk wood buttons I got.

I also finished drafting the lining, so am all set to cut it out and stitch it in soon. The lining for the upper leg is cut all in one piece, but with out the added length of the outer layer. This should cause the outer layer to be supported in a permanent pouf at the knee without falling down. I am using this cotton fabric left over from a dress I made ages ago, it has 1/4" metallic stripes in it :)

Lacing up the decorative panels will probably be the last thing I do. The other day I stopped by a bead store going out of business and bought 40 yards of cording. I am hoping I won't need that much (Lacing wil take FOREVER) but I figured Overkill was better when it was fairly inexpensive.

High Waisted pant:
So while I was waiting for all of the Stripey swatches to arrive I discovered I had way more black twill than I originally thought I had. Since black jeans are kind of my go to clothing (Besides my army of leggings) I cut out and sewed up the high waisted pant.

I am glad that I did, because I noticed a small problem, where the facings for the buttonhole overlap ends is kind of abrupt (exactly at the opening) and is causing a small bump. If these had been the stripey fabric I imagine the Visual distortion would be much more noticeable. The fix for the stripe pair is just to extend the facing, and I have some Ideas for the black pair on how to fix/minimize.

And the buttons I got for the black pair:

Liberty Coins! I think they are so pretty, and they make me think of the Winged Victory statue even though they are not exactly related...

Swatches for the stripey pair:

The swatch in the second photo is the one I think I am going to use. It was the best compromise between obnoxious stripey-ness, and still being able to sew clean looking darts.

And Now I will go work on katlaoesk corset, or maybe bed, because it is bad to sew when you are tired :)
