I didn't actually take my camera with me to this event. I wore my madmen dress, some vintage style seamed stockings and "vintage" looking flats. I also managed to briefly get my hair into a pouf-esque creation before the walk in the rain and hour and a half steamy bus ride killed it :(
The actress I got these stockings from was always complaining they gave her "elephant ankles" because of the wrinkles. I can't say I disagree, they certainly were frighteningly less elastic than their modern counterparts.
Also, happy-random Coincidence! See that light blue dress that woman is wearing? I made that! It was a dress I made in high school, wore a few times every year and eventually sold to a local "vintage" store :) When I saw her/it I was so genuinely surprised I did a double take at the bar and swore. I chatted with her a little while and she was really nice (also, she loved the dress) I told her it was one of those Vogue vintage re-prints and all was good in the world.
