Since I have class tomorrow, today (after I went grocery and fabric shopping) I worked on the Army Girl Dress. I wanted to get it in wearable condition so I could try it on in front of my teacher before I finished it. Along with the MadMen dress that will give me two dresses to try on and (hopefully) finish over the weekend.

Things left to finish after the fitting:
1- Add armhole piping
2- Set in lining (It is all cut and sewn, ready to go)
3- Set in exposed zipper
4- Hem! I am also piping the hem, to give the flared skirt a little extra Umphf!
I am happy with the dress so far, from what I could tell when I briefly tried it on for photos, it is fitting very nicely. I imagine the lining will make it slightly smaller, which should counteract the zipper making it slightly larger. (I did, however, pattern in 1/8" loss for the zipper, so it might not make a difference) I still want to play with the pockets a little bit, one of the inner bags shifts around a lot and wants to pop out, even with the under-stitching, grr!
