Before the Hamburglar struck I finally got to working on my regency petticoat. I used the skirt pattern of my gown, but folded it on it's self to make it less full (and fit on my 45" cotton voile) The hem to about mid skirt is flat lined with cotton organdy for stiffness and a little more opacity. Having two layers made the tucks a little more tricky to sew, but still fairly easy with basting.

The finished petticoat will have straps, and hook closed in the back. I want to make the petticoat shorter still, about 2 inches or 6 tucks eating up 3/8ths Inch. I decided not to make a bodiced petticoat this time, If I need it later I can always add it, and I think I would rather make a colored one!

I am also almost done sewing all of the ruffles onto the dress! I had to re-cut one of them because I made it too short, but that was a minor setback. Probably won't get a chance to work on either for awhile, but when I do it *shouldn't* take that long, YAY!
