Something for the Road
In anticipation of all the sitting in cars/other transit I will be doing in the coming holiday weekend; I finally sat down and finished the prep-work to start embroidering a pair of 18th century pockets!

My Designs:

The designs are a combination of a pocket template I found online, and a pair of statues (I think salt+pepper shakers) that I traced and simplified.
Colors:

I am using mostly DMC floss, accented with metallic here and there. For the binding I am thinking Red or a color with similar pop.
I am not 100% as far as what stitches I will use, but I have been drawn to stem stitch quite a bit. I am also thinking the final piece will be more line heavy, as apposed to filled in. I am not the worlds most patient embroiderer. I think this approach might give me a chance of actually finishing!
Also, Just watched the movie Witness for the first time, Gotta say, Damn you Harrison Ford for making Amish people sexy.
